    Topic suggestion:

I think it would be great to do a show focused on being a military spouse while trying to make future plans – something titled “Learning Limbo Life”. I am always telling family and friends that we live in limbo – being a spouse requires a lot of strategic planning or no planning at all! I am a newer sub wife and it’s been difficult for me to slow down and “live in the moment” so to speak – maybe there are others out there who could use some planning tips as well. For instance, how to do you plan ahead for: vacations, job, house/apartment, pregnancy, weddings, etc?? There’s so much to discuss on this topic!!

I am thankful for finding your show!! You’re doing a great thing – keep it up!

Great show idea! We will work on this and post when you can expect this topic to air. Perhaps you can call in and participate in that episode!

Thank you so much for your kind words, we really appreciate you taking the time to write!

Hello all. How often would a O1 in public affairs be deployed? You may not have an answer for me but I would appreciate anything really. Thanks tons! and I admire how much you offer support for one another!

To answer your question it really just depends. Surface Navy deployments are 6-8 months (Aircraft carrier for example). If you are on 3 – 4 year tour you are looking at 2 maybe 3 deployments. You can count on him being gone half of every year (at least) while on sea duty. If his first assignment is shore duty, then he will be home. If he gets an IA assignment, he could be gone as long 13 months. He is really the best person to answer this as it depends on his community.

    Thanks for your kind remarks!
    Good Luck!
